Ashtanga (ASHTA meaning eight and ANGA meaning limb) is a specific type of yoga asana from the teachings of Pattabhi Jois. This class is inspired by the poses and sequencing of an Astanga class. We begin with Sun Salutations to generate energy and heat in the body. Remember the importance of the breath and feel it in the body. Take note of the balance between effort and ease as you move through this sequence. It's a challenging class, so drink water and listen to your body.
